Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market main index, or MSM30, closed Sunday in green, extending a rise to the second successive session.

The index rose 1.11% by the end of the session, adding 58.1 points, to reach level of 5,298.6 points; its highest level in 19 sessions.

MSM30 closed Thursday’s trading session on an up note, reversing a two-day decline.

Sharia Index also rose at the close of Sunday’s session by 0.85% to reach 821.8 points, adding 6.9 points.

Today’s traded value reached OMR 4.38 million ($11.33 million), compared to OMR 5.83 million ($15.08 million) in Thursday's session.

A total of 27.29 million shares were traded in 1368 transactions, compared to 27.813 million shares exchanged in 1552 transactions during Thursday's session.

In today's session, shares of 27 companies raised, 4 fell and 11 settled at the same previous closing levels.
