Riyadh project follow-up program of Arriyadh Development Authority unveiled that Riyadh region is currently witnessing the implementation of 4254 projects at a total value of SAR 504 billion, of which 30% is dominated by Riyadh city.
According to the program’s semiannual report for 1435, the housing and general services sector ranked first in the region, with 1670 projects at a total cost of SAR 30 billion.
The utilities sector came second with 935 projects worth SAR 118 billion. The educational services sector took the third position with 664 projects valued at SAR 31 billion, then the transport and road sector with 458 projects worth SAR 115 billion.
The program also unveiled that 406 projects were completed in different sectors at a total cost of SAR 11.5 billion during the first half of 2014. Meanwhile, the number of under-construction projects reaches nearly 3244 valued at SAR 341.5 billion. The number of delayed and distressed projects amounts to 335 valued at SAR 11 billion.
