Saudi Minister of Transport Jabara Al Suraiseri said Haramain Railway station in Taibah was more than 90% completed, adding that the completion rate of the four stations exceeded 93%, according to OKAZ newspaper.
Al Suraiseri expected the first train to reach Makkah at the end of December, to start the trial operations according to global standards.
These remarks were given by the minister during his tour from Madinah to King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh.
