Riyadh-Mubasher: The Saudi bourse (Tadawul) closed Monday on a negative note, with the benchmark losing 0.15% or 14.24 points to reach the 9,710 level.
More than 405.8 million shares were exchanged through over 162,800 trades at a turnover exceeding SAR 10.5 billion.
Ten sectors went down, led by the transport and telecom sectors, which dropped 1.81% and 1.78%, respectively.
Meanwhile, five sectors went up, topped by the petrochemical sector, which climbed 1.13%, and the media sector, which rose 1.03%.
Rounding up stocks, decliners outnumbered advancers by 85 to 62. Knowledge City was the best performer of the day, rocketing 9.92% to SAR 28.80.
Meanwhile, Ash-Sharqiya Development was the worst performer, diving 6.82% to SAR 85.50.
SABIC was the most active in terms of turnover with SAR 999.9 million, while Dar Al-Arkan led in trading volume with 68.5 million shares.
