CEO of Jordan Petroleum Refinery Co, Abdel-Kareem Al Alaween, said that the company will start the trial operation of sulfur extraction plant by the end of September, adding that all equipment is in the location of the plant currently.

Al Alaween noted that this project, which costs EUR 16 million, aims at reducing sulfur dioxide in line with world environmental standards. He assured that the company is doing great efforts continuously to modernize its plant.
