Amman benchmark index ended today’s session in green territory for the third consecutive session boosted by financial and industrial sectors.
The benchmark index rose by 0.15% or 3.19 points and closed at 2129.01 points.
Yesterday, the index increased by 0.13% gaining 52.06 points and closed at 2125.86 points.
At the sectors level, the industry sector rose by 0.28% and the financial sector increased by 0.12% while the services sector plunged by 0.01%.
Shares of 135 companies participated in trading, 48 rose, 37 declined while the remaining ones remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were, the Northern Cement Co. by 6.91%, Babelon Investments Co. P.l.c by 4.68% and Tuhama For Financial Investments by 4.41%.
On the other hand, the top three losers were, Offtec Holding Group Plc by 4.76%, Alia- The Royal Jordanian Airlines Plc. by 4.65% and Premier Business And Projects Co.ltd by 4.57%.
Out of 5.8 million shares were traded through 3459 transactions at a turnover of JOD 6.6 million.
