Riyadh-Mubasher: Southern Province Cement announced that the trial operation of the second production line of Bishah cement plant began on 25 August.

The trial operation will continue till the plant reaches the contractual design capacity (DC) of 5,000 tonnes of clinker daily, so as to raise the productivity of the plant to 10,000 tonnes of clinker daily.

By adding the capacity of the new line, the actual production of the company’s three plants will reach 33,000 tonnes of clinker daily, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

The company noted that there are neither expected costs nor financial impact for this trial operation. The date of the actual operation will be announced later when reaching the contractual DC.
