Riyadh – Mubasher: City Cement announced on Tuesday the extension of the experimental operation period for its cement grinding facility for 265 tonnes per hour for another three months.

Commercial operation will be announced at a later time, the company said in a bourse filing, adding that the delay will not result in any increased project costs.

In May, the Saudi cement producer announced commencing trial operations for the plant.

The project originally began in May 2014 in cooperation with Sinoma International Engineering at a cost of SAR 111.5 million. It was funded through City Cement's cash flows, according to a previous statement.
