Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar National Cement Company's general assembly approved the distribution of 40% of its capital as cash dividends for 2016.

The assembly also agreed on distributing 10% as bonus shares (1-for-10-shares) for 2016, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

Moreover, the amendment of Article 5 of the company's bylaws has been approved, in addition to increasing the capital to QAR 653.53 million distributed over 65.35 million shares, at QAR 10 per share.

The financial statements for the year which ended on 31 December 2016 have also been approved, in addition to the transfer of QAR 407 million from the development reserve, the statement said.

The company's capital amounts to QAR 594.12 million, distributed over 59.41 million shares, at QAR 10 per share.
