Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait lost about KWD 6.34 billion from its market value as a result of the voluntary delisting of 48 companies from 2009 until now, according to a report issued by Bayan Investments.

It is expected that ten companies will be delisted later in 2017, the report added.

This could affect the investors’ confidence in the Kuwaiti market at a time when the country needs to attract foreign capital and open new investment channels to pump liquidity into the economy, the report showed.

Boursa Kuwait is awaiting the financial results of the listed companies for the first quarter of 2017, amid optimism that the results will be positive, according to the report.
