Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Sunday’s trading session at 5,474.54 points, after gaining 0.133 points.

The index ended on a stable note due to the varying performance of its leading stocks as Ooredoo rose 1.99%, Phoenix Power gained 1.5%, and Al Anwar Holdings increased 0.99%. Raysut Cement led losers with 2.54%, while Galfar Engineering and Contracting lost 2.5%.

The services sector levelled up 0.35% after Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) increased 0.78%.

On the other hand, the industry sector decreased 0.43% as Oman Fisheries tumbled 1.43%.

The financial sector dropped 0.18% as Al Batinah Development and Investment Holding and Oman and Emirates Investment Holding shed 2.22% and 1.79%, respectively, whereas Financial Services gained 8%.

Traded volume dropped to 10.99 million shares on Sunday against 12.69 million shares on Thursday, while trading value decreased to OMR 2.36 million against OMR 3.04 million in the previous session.
