Mubasher: Investcorp on Tuesday announced inaugurating its office in Singapore with the attendance of its executive chairman Mohammed Alardhi.

The Singapore office is the company's first in Asia and follows the integration of the Investcorp Credit Management team, which brought with it an existing presence in Singapore, the Bahrain-based global provider and manager of alternative investment products revealed in a statement.

"The Singapore office will serve as a base for expanded operations in Asia, [as well as] a platform from which Investcorp can analyze investment trends in the region," the statement added.

Commenting on the new office, the company's executive chairman Mohammed Alardhi noted that "Investcorp has been expanding its reach and capabilities at a rapid pace over the last two years and our plan is to continue growing where we see opportunities to generate the most value."

He added that the new Singapore office is an integral part of Investcorp's expansion plans.

"We also intend to monitor closely the economic and investment landscape across East Asia as part of our ongoing evaluation of our investment universe,” the top executive further highlighted.   

Globally, the new office is the Bahrain-based company's seventh, connecting its offices in Bahrain, New York, London, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Doha.
