Bahrain Bourse closes in green with surge in volumes

Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse ended Tuesday’s trading session in green, as traded volumes saw a noticeable rise compared to the levels of yesterday.

The Bahrain All Shares Index (BSEX) went up by 0.08%, gaining 1.04 points, and closed at the level of 1,336.61 points.

Traded volumes increased to 4.52 million shares compared to 1.28 million shares on Monday, while values increased to BHD 813,480 from BHD 287,660 yesterday.

The services sector rose 0.43%, as Seef Properties and Bahrain Telecommunications (BATELCO) added 0.85% and 0.76% respectively.

The investment sector gained 0.13% on the back of Inovest, which led the session’s gainers and surged 9.09%.

On the other hand, the industrial sector index closed in red, as Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) was the only decliner and lost 0.47%.

Ahli United Bank (AUB) registered the highest turnover at BHD 690,000, while Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) was the most active in traded volumes with 2.67 million shares.
