KSA exports to GCC down 7% in February

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi non-oil exports to the GCC retreated SAR 171 million or 7% to SAR 2.28 billion in February 2017 from SAR 2.45 billion in the previous year.

Exports to the UAE came on top of Saudi exports with a value of SAR 1.1 billion in February compared to SAR 1.14 billion in the year-ago period.

Kuwait followed with exports worth SAR 421 million compared to SAR 425 million in February 2016. Qatar took the third place with SAR 335 million compared to SAR 438 million.

Saudi Arabia’s imports of goods originated from GCC countries amounted to SAR 3.43 million in February 2017 as compared to SAR 3.32 million in the same period of the previous year, with an increase of SAR 110 million or 3.3%, according to the Saudi General Authority of Statistics.

The UAE also led Saudi imports to the GCC by about SAR 2.32 billion in February 2017, up from SAR 2.31 billion in the same month of last year.

Kuwait came second and recorded SAR 122 million compared to SAR 144 million.
