EGX indices rise in early trade

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Thursday’s open by 0.24% or 30.5 points to the level of 12,701.84 points.

By 10:32 am Cairo time, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50, indices also advanced 0.64%, 0.25%, and 0.65%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 20 million shares exchanged at EGP 105 million through 3,560 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 9 million and EGP 1.34 million, respectively, while net purchases by Egyptian investors reached EGP 10.81 million.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) ascended 0.66% to EGP 75.79.

Juhayna, Porto, Domty, Cairo Oils, and Global Telecom rose between 4.69% and 1.72%.

Meanwhile, Oriental Weavers, National Real Estate Bank for Development, Madinet Nasr Housing, and EFG Hermes declined between 5.15% and 0.36%.
