Dubai – Mubasher: DP World will expand its operations in the Latin American and Russian markets in 2017, according to Al Khaleej newspaper, citing the group’s CEO.

It is expected that the terminal operator will increase the capacity of its containers by 1.5 million containers during the current year, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem stated.

DP previously reported a 28% increase in net profits to $1.13 billion in 2016.

In March, the CEO said that a US expansion will be taken into consideration if there are economic opportunities there.
