BHB falls in week amid lower liquidity

Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) edged down 0.17% or 2.27 points week-on-week to reach 1,332.16 points by the week ended on 27 April.

The tourism segment led decliners this week with a fall of 3.64%, dragged by Banader Hotels which lost 7.14%.

Meanwhile, the banks sector gained 0.2%, on the back of Ithmaar Holding which roseby 6.45%.

Khaleeji Commercial Bank was the most active stock on which 5.3 million shares were traded this week.

AUB recorded the highest liquidity of about BHD 860,500.

The market’s turnover shrank to BHD 3.39 million from BHD 7.41 million in the past week, while the trading volume decreased to 15 million shares from 43 million.
