Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi general reserve reached SAR 641.8 billion by the end of March, decreasing 29.2% year-on-year, according to the Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority (SAMA).

Government reserve shed 0.01% month-on-month from SAR 641.78 recorded in February 2017.

Total reserve assets reached SAR 1.9 trillion by the end of March, compared to SAR 1.928 trillion in February.

SAMA mentioned that reserve assets were distributed over Investment in Foreign Securities

By around SAR 1.3 trillion, foreign currency and deposits abroad by SAR 567 billion, reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by SAR 7.2 billion,  special drawing rights (SDR) by SAR 27.9 billion, and monetary gold by SAR 1.6 billion.
