Riyadh – Mubasher: Alujain Corporation on Wednesday said that its subsidiary, the National Petrochemical Industrial Co (NATPET), has resumed production at its propylene and polypropylene complex in Yanbu Industrial City.

It is expected that the two factories will reach full operating capacity in the next eight days, the company stated in a bourse filing.

The Saudi company also expected the newly carried out maintenance to have a positive impact on the production efficiency in the two plants.

Alujain had previously announced that the complex will be shut for 25 days, starting 9 April 2017, to carry out scheduled major maintenance works to enhance the production and mechanical performance of the complex.

Alujain’s stock opened Wednesday’s trades in the red, shedding 0.26% to SAR 23.10 by 11:03 am Saudi time.
