Tadawul, Nomu close Sunday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) fell 0.97% or 66.93 points to 6,857.15 points at Sunday’s close.

Traded value decreased to SAR 2.41 billion ($644 million) on Sunday compared to SAR 3.75 billion ($999 million) on Thursday.

Traded volume went down to 156.48 million shares, down from 248.65 million shares.

The REITs sector led the worst performers and levelled down 2.7%, followed by the consumer durables and consumer services sectors which went down 1.7% and 1.5%, respectively.

The materials and banks sectors lost 1.3% and 1%, respectively, while the telecom sector grew solely by 0.72%.

Zamil Industrial Investment recorded the highest losses and declined 4.5%, while Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (Go) led the best performers and surged 9.5%.

Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market levelled down 1.3% or 56.11 points to 4,339.12 points.

Traded volume reached 119,870 shares, while values reached SAR 2.56 million on Sunday.

Abo Moati for Bookstores was the most active in terms of traded value and volume, exchanging 63,270 shares at a value of 826,160. The stock ended at SAR 12.60.

Abo Moati came on top of the losing stocks of Nomu and declined 7.6%, while Development Works Food rose solely by 0.3%.
