Riyadh – Mubasher: Al Babtain Power and Telecommunication posted on Thursday a decrease of 1.5% in its net profit for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 to SAR 39.1 million, versus SAR 39.7 million for Q1-16.

The company attributed the fall in Q1-17 profits to a 14.4% decline in sales during the period to SAR 290.1 million from SAR 338.8 million in Q1-16, according to a bourse filing.

The stock fell at Thursday’s close by 2.2% to SAR 29.29.
