Riyadh – Mubasher: Etihad Atheeb Communication (Go) cancelled the agreement signed with ZTE to upgrade its network.

The company reasoned its move to entering negotiations with the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) to obtain a unified licence, which will result in building a modern network and infrastructure to provide fixed and mobile services.

The cancellation will not have an impact on the company’s financial obligations, according to a bourse filing on Monday.

In August, Go had signed an agreement with ZTE to upgrade the efficiency and capacity of its main network and infrastructure for five years at a value of SAR 47 million.
