Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose 0.19% or 13.38 points to 6,960.74 points at Thursday’s open.

By 10:37 am KSA time, 28.51 million shares were exchanged through 12,360 transactions at a value of SAR 462.71 million.

The utilities sector led the best performers and increased 1.5%, followed by the banks and food sectors by 0.23% and 0.2%, respectively.

The material sector also added 0.05%.

On the other hand, the media sector topped the red zone and shed 0.9%, followed by the retailing and telecom sectors by 0.66% and 0.34%, respectively.

Wafa Insurance topped the gaining stocks and hiked 4.1%, while Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons led the losing ones and fell 1.7%.

Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market went up 0.23% or 9.99 points to stand at 4,314.47 points.

Development Works Food advanced 4%, followed by Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries which levelled up solely by 0.84%.
