Mubasher: The inflation rate in Bahrain rose by 0.94% in April on an annual basis, according to data issued by the Central Informatics Organisation.

The consumer price index (CPI) reached 128.7 points in April 2017 as compared to 127.5 points in April 2016.

Bahrain’s higher inflation rate is attributed to a rise in residential prices and facilities.

During the first four months of 2017, the CPI edged up 0.8% this year when compared to the same period of 2016.
