DFM gains decline Monday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw lower gains at Monday’s closing, backed by sales of shares, especially of Arabtec Holding and Drake and Scull International (DSI).

The general index rose 0.11% or 3.60 points to reach 3,390.04 points.

The market was dragged down by the decline of Arabtec’s stock on which most liquidity was focused, capital market analyst Mohamed Saeed told Mubasher.

Arabtec and DSI declined 5.2% and 3.82%, respectively.

The banks sector topped gainers with a 0.44% increase as Emirates NBD and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) levelled up 0.61% and 0.52%, respectively.

The real estate sector added 0.03% after Emaar Properties gained 0.14%.

Trading volume reached 302.3 million shares on Monday, compared to 351.83 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 338.02 million, compared to AED 312.74 million. 

The Dubai bourse targets to reach 3,400-3,450 points, according to Fady Al-Ghattis, CEO of Think Financial Services.
