Dubai – Mubasher:  DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF), a joint venture (JV) between Germany-based DC Aviation Group and Al-Futtaim, announced that its second hangar at Dubai South is set for completion before the end of 2017, according to a statement.

The 6,800-square metre hangar will double the hangar capacity, raising its total land-side plot area to 24,000 square metre and apron area to 13,000 square metre.

The hangar will enable the JV to add two single-aisle aircraft maintenance bays, as well as provide space for an additional workshop and equipment storage.

 “On completion of the second hangar, we will be able to accommodate aircrafts up to the Boeing 767 and significantly ramp up our maintenance capabilities,” according to Holger Ostheimer, managing director of DCAF.
