Two sectors push QSE up at Tuesday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.32% or 32.30 points to reach 10,167.2 points in Tuesday’s early trades.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, three sectors grew, led by the banks sector with 0.59% as Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), Islamic Holding Group, and Qatar National Bank (QNB) gained 1.16%, 0.76%, and 0.71%, respectively.

The industrials sector went up 0.26% after Aamal levelled up 1.89%, followed by Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding with 0.14%, and Industries Qatar with 0.1%.

The real estate sector increased 0.16% as Mazaya Qatar and United Development Company rose 0.87% and 0.33%, respectively.

On the flipside, four sectors fell, topped by the consumer goods and services sector which inched down 0.05% after Qatar Fuel (Woqod) decreased 1.3% and Widam Food Company dropped 1.12%.

The telecoms sector edged down 0.04% as Ooredoo lost 0.09%, while the transportation sector shed 0.03%.

Liquidity reached QAR 16.84 million, after 306,120 shares traded through 279 transactions.

Industries Qatar’s stock led in terms of traded volume with 73,950 shares exchanged, at a value of QAR 7.78 million.
