Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) added 0.14% or 10.06 points to 6,946.43 points at Wednesday’s open.

By 10:39 am KSA time, 15.38 million shares were exchanged through 8,730 transactions at a value of SAR 309.85 million.

The utilities sector topped gainers and rose 0.97%, followed by the consumer durables and insurance sectors by 0.89% and 0.6%, respectively.

The material and banks sectors increased 0.21% and 0.13%, respectively.

On the other hand, the telecom sector led the worst performers and lost 0.46%.

Asharqiyah Development came on top of the 105 gaining firms and advanced 4.3%, while MEPCO led the losing stocks and fell 4.2%.

Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market went up 0.1% or 4.23 points to stand at 4,212.99 points.

Arab Sea and Development Works Food rose 1.7% and 1.1%, respectively.
