Cairo - Mubasher: The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) reported 4% growth in net profits for the first half of fiscal year 2016-2017, according to a press release.

The bank said in a statement that net profits totalled EGP 6 billion in the six-month period that ended 31 December 2016, compared to around EGP 5.8 billion in the same period the year before.

During the same period net profits before taxes increased by 17% and reached EGP 10.5 billion.
