Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will issue EGP 12.75 billion in treasury bills on Thursday, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The issue will be used to finance the country’s budget deficit, the bank said in a statement.
The bills will be issued through two tranches; 182-day bills at EGP 6.5 billion, and 364-day bills worth EGP 6.25 billion, according to the central bank’s website.
