Kuwait – Mubasher: The losses of Securities Group Company shrank by 84% to KWD 1.08 million ($3.55 million) during the fourth quarter ended 31 March 2017 from KWD 6.77 million ($22.26 million) in the same period of the prior year.

During the fiscal year ended 31 March 2017, the Kuwaiti company achieved profits worth KWD 1.52 million, against losses of KWD 14.68 million in the same period a year ago, according to a bourse filing issued on Thursday.

The profits achieved in the fiscal year resulted from higher earnings from investments of KWD 2.26 million, compared to about KWD 427,260 in the prior fiscal year.

At the stock level, Securities Group on Thursday fell by 1.02% at 97 fils by 9:35 am Kuwait time.
