QSE ends Thursday down on real estate, telecoms sectors
QSE's main index slid 26.83 points at Thursday's close.

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday in the red zone, after losing 0.27% or 26.83 points to reach 10,060.52 points.

Three sectors dropped, led by the real estate sector which retreated 6.48% as Ezdan Holding Group slid 10% and United Development Company shed 0.11%.

The telecoms sector shed 0.42% after Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar fell 0.47% and 0.11%, respectively.

The consumer goods and services sector decreased 0.43%.

On the other hand, four sectors rose, topped by the banks sector with 1.93% as Qatar First Bank (QFB) surged 3.11%.

Traded volume rose to 14.03 million shares on Thursday against 8.11 million shares on Wednesday, while liquidity increased to QAR 382.98 million from QAR 202.40 million.

Earlier on Thursday, the main index shed 0.80% to reach 10,007.01 points.
