Riyadh – Mubasher: Sadara Basic Services Company, 100% owned by Sadara Chemical Company, announced producing commercial quantities of on-specification liquid polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (PMDI).

PMDI has a wide range of applications that include the production of insulation foams, domestic and industrial appliances, automobiles, airplanes, textiles, and furniture, among others, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

The financial impact of the plant will appear during the second quarter of 2017. The operation of the plant came five months after the completion of its mechanical phase.

The PMDI plant is one of 26 manufacturing units of the Sadara complex located in Jubail Industrial City II, the statement added.
