Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emerson, listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

The MoU was inked during the Saudi-US CEO Forum in Riyadh.

Under the agreement, Emerson will provide Aramco with the latest digital transformation, according to a statement.

The deal paves the way for Emerson’s collaboration with Aramco in various areas, including the use of Emerson’s Plantweb digital ecosystem, which depends on the Industrial Internet of Things.

Moreover, Emerson’s initiative "Project Certainty” will help Aramco to reduce costs and schedules for future.

The agreement also includes the digital oil field initiatives, research and development of advanced applications for process automation, and the consultancy services in the areas of reliability, energy conservation, and flow assurance, the statement said.

The US firm will also provide Aramco with its operational certainty offerings which aim to raise the reliability of existing facilities and extract more value of existing assets.

Emerson was one of several companies chosen by Aramco to promote bilateral trade and investment between Saudi Arabia and the US.
