Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s general wholesale price index decreased 2.2% year-on-year in May 2017, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Four groups witnessed a decline during the aforementioned period of time, most prominently stones and sand by 5.1%, general-purpose machinery by 2.4%, and leather and leather products footwear by 0.3%, while the agriculture and fishery products were considered as unchanged divisions.
In May 2017, the index fell 0.2% to record 100.5 points as compared to 100.7 points in April 2017, the report said.
Comparing month-on-month, other goods saw a decrease by 0.4%; the group includes basic chemicals, and rubber and plastics products.
Metal products, machinery, and equipment shed 0.4% and includes general-purpose machinery and special-purpose machinery.
