Dubai – Mubasher: An Emirates Airline spokesperson said on Thursday that the company will work closely with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to complete all the required procedures, regarding the fines imposed by the Chinese authorities.

Emirates Airlines is committed to the requirements of the CAAC in all its flights to China, the spokesperson told Mubasher in a statement, adding that the Dubai-based company never compromises the safety of the passengers and crew, and always take this issue as a priority.

On Wednesday, the CAAC imposed a fine on the Emirati carrier and banned it from adding new destinations to China for six months as a result of two safety incidents.

The authority said the company’s crew was responsible for an incident on 17 April when a plane flew at a wrong altitude, while an 18 May incident involved the aircraft temporarily losing contact with air traffic control.

The CAAC imposed a fine of $4,470 on the two incidents.
