Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance on Monday, with its index rising 0.41% or 14.24 points to reach 3,458.37 points.

The market is keeping its buying momentum near the level of 3,265 points after the accumulation of selective stocks, Raed Diab, vice president of the Investment Research Department at KAMCO, told Mubasher.

The real estate sector topped gainers with a 0.84% rise as Emaar Properties went up 1.26%.

The investment sector also grew 0.55% after Dubai Investments added 1.4%.

The market saw trading of 299.62 million shares through 3,311 transactions.

Traders are waiting for the beginning of first-half financial announcements, Diab said.

The decline of the DFMGI below 3,435 points may lead it lower to 3,405-3,385 points, Diab added.

The main index needs to close above 3,465 points to attract more purchases to push it further to 3,485, then 3,515 points, the analyst said.
