Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday in the red zone after falling 0.54% or 28.3 points to reach 5,220.94 points.

The services sector decreased 0.87% after Sembcorp Salalah Power and Water Company retreated 4.35% and Phoenix Power declined 1.64%.

The financial sector shed 0.38% as United Finance and Alizz Islamic Bank levelled down 3.62% and 2.35%, respectively.

On the other hand, the industry sector grew 0.39% after Voltamp Energy gained 3.85% and Construction Material Industry rose 3.45%.

Traded volume increased to 17.6 million shares on Monday against 11.19 million shares on Sunday, while liquidity grew to OMR 3.16 million from OMR 2.26 million.
