BHB closes Wednesday in red zone
AUB was the most active stock

Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) closed Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone, falling 0.44% or 5.78 points to 1,313.41 points.

The market’s turnover grew to about BHD 854,931 on Wednesday from nearly BHD 207,324 in the previous session after the trading volume increased to 1.634 million shares from around 953,847.

AUB was the most active stock on which about 543,090 shares were traded at a value of around BHD 372,254.

The hotels and tourism segment lost 2.64%, dragged by Gulf Hotels which retreated 3.7%.

The services sector retreated 0.76%, in line with the 2.34% fall of Batelco.

Meanwhile, the industrial segment went up 0.43%, backed by Alba which rose 0.44%.

The investment sector levelled up 0.16%, endorsed by the 8.33% rise of Inovest.
