Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The number of foreign investment funds registered with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) in the UAE increased 5.6% to reach 633 by the end of 2016, compared to 599 in 2015.

Regarding the funds registered with the SCA until 2016, the licensing authority of Luxembourg topped the list with 341 funds, followed by Ireland with 85, Cayman Islands with 81, Mauritius with 23, and Jersey with 18.

The number of funds established in Saudi Arabia and promoting their products in the UAE amounted to 15 in 2016, while the number of Bahraini funds stands at four.
