ADX closes Thursday lower
Traders at Abu Dhabi's bourse

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance on Thursday, dragged down by the fall of real estate and energy sectors.

The general index fell 0.62% or 27.48 points to reach 4,431.57 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 261.98 million on Thursday, compared to AED 199.36 million on Wednesday. Trading volume reached 197.05 million shares, compared to 117.06 million shares.

The real estate sector led losers with a 2.75% decrease as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties retreated 8.7% and 1.72%, respectively.

Eshraq generated AED 72.93 million from the exchange of 75.83 million shares.

The energy sector retreated 2.74% as Dana Gas and TAQA lost 2.9% and 1.96%, respectively.

The telecom sector levelled down 1.15% after Etisalat sank 1.15%.

The banks sector slid 0.24% as First Abu Dhabi Bank went down 0.94%.

On the other hand, the industrial sector topped gainers with a 3.11% rise as Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) increased 14.8%.
