Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Thursday down after losing 0.06% or 3.16 points to reach 5,118.31 points.

The financial sector shed 0.5% as Al Anwar Holdings retreated 8.52%, followed by Ahli Bank with 4.49% and Oman and Emirates Investment Holding with 3.74%, whereas United Finance increased 5.38%.

The industry sector declined 0.14% after Oman Cement and Galfar Engineering and Contracting dropped 3.04% and 1.32%, respectively.

On the other hand, the services sector inched up 0.06% as Phoenix Power grew 1.72%.

Trading volume slid to 6.8 million shares on Thursday against 21.83 million shares on Wednesday, while traded value decreased to OMR 1.08 million from OMR 5.53 million.
