ADX hits 2.5M low in week as 6 sectors drop
ADX market capitalisation closed the week at AED 425.846 billion

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed the week ended Thursday, 22 June in the red, marking its sharpest drop in over two-and-a-half months.

The benchmark index shed 1.56% or 27.48 points and closed at 4,431.57 points.

Turnover fell week-on-week to AED 1.024 billion ($280 million) from AED 1.552 billion ($420 million). Similarly, traded volume halved down to 717.298 million shares traded versus the previous week's 1.504 billion.

A total of six sectors were in the red last week, led by real estate with 2.75%, followed by energy with 2.74%, whereas the industrial sector led risers, adding 3.11%, followed by investment with 1.07%.

ADX market capitalisation closed the week at AED 425.846 billion ($115.96 billion).
