Mubasher: Most GCC stock markets are expected to continue their positive performance on Tuesday, in line with the beginning of first-half financials and the rise of oil prices, as well as higher purchases by foreign funds, analysts told Mubasher.

Some foreign institutions are expected to buy blue chips especially after Saudi Arabia and three allies, who broke ties with Qatar, agreed to a request by Kuwait to extend Sunday's deadline for Doha's compliance to 13 sweeping demands by 48 hours, capital market analyst Nawaf Al Ajmi said.

The bourses are expected to see slow trades, awaiting updates on Qatar’s issue, the analyst noted.

It is not clear whether Qatar will meet the demands by Saudi Arabia and its allies which will impose further restrictions on Doha if it does not comply with the demands, Al Ajmi added.
