Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) retreated 2.59% or 193.7 points to close Tuesday’s session at 7,299.7 points; the lowest level since 2 October 2016.

The market’s turnover stood at SAR 2.97 billion after 131.9 million shares were exchanged.

The banks segment led decliners with 4.6%, followed by the telecom and basic materials sectors with a fall of 1.13% and 1.03%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market retreated 0.76% or 28.2 points to close the session at 3,669.6 points. 

The trading value amounted to SAR 4.5 million after 208,000 shares were traded.
