Dubai – Mubasher: Nine sukuk, collectively worth $8.5 billion, were issued on Nasdaq Dubai in the first half of 2017, Albayan newspaper said, citing Nasdaq Dubai’s CEO Hamed Ali as saying.
The Indonesian government issued the largest listing with two issues jointly valued at $3 billion, while Saudi Arabia-based Islamic Development Bank’s (IDB) sukuk amounted to $1.25 billion, Ali added.
The Indonesian government is the largest sukuk issuer on Nasdaq Dubai with eight issues at a total value of $11.5 billion.
