Mubasher: The Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) supplied Doha’s domestic market with livestock, commodities, cars, equipment, and standard containers in June, according to the official Twitter account of the company on Tuesday.

Mwani Qatar provided Doha’s markets with about 60,860 tonnes of livestock and 24,010 of standard containers.

The volume of general cargo, supplied by ports, amounted to 31,110 tonnes, while gabbro rocks and construction materials reached 6,410.

The Qatari company also supplied the domestic markets with 4,320 vehicles.

On Monday, Mwani Qatar announced launching new direct shipping routes between Hamad port and some of the ports inside and outside the region, since the beginning of the diplomatic rift on 5 June.

On 5 June, four Arab and GCC countries cut all diplomatic ties with Qatar due to its alleged support of terrorism.

Ever since, Qatar had witnessed the decline of the Qatari riyal against the US dollar and the ban of annual Saudi and Emirati sugar exports to Qatar, which are estimated at under 100,000 tonnes.
