Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) increased 0.5% or 6.53 points to reach 1,317.38 points in the week ended on Thursday, 13 July, against 1,310.86 points in the previous week.

The industrial sector pushed the index up 2.4% as Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) went up 2.47% in a week.

The investment sector levelled up 1.27% after Inovest surged 6.41% and Al Baraka Banking Group gained 1.19%.

The commercial bank sector grew 0.18% as Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Ahli United Bank (AUB), and Bahrain Islamic Bank increased 1.03%, 0.74%, and 0.71%, respectively.

The hotel and tourism sector inched up 0.02% after Bahrain Family Leisure gained 1.25%.

On the other hand, the services sector declined 1.11% as Bahrain Telecommunications (Batelco) and Nass Corporation decreased 3.36% and 2.24%, respectively.

On a weekly basis, trading volume stood at 11 million shares through 324 transactions, with a liquidity of BHD 2.44 million, against 40 million shares with a turnover of BHD 7.45 million.

Alba’s stock led in terms of traded value with 1.99 million shares exchanged, through 11 transactions, generated BHD 979,060.
