Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Wednesday down slightly after its benchmark index, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), inched down 0.06% or 4.28 points to reach 7,250.41 points in Wednesday’s early trades.
By 10:44 am Saudi time, trading volume reached 35.38 million shares through 15,210 transactions, at a value of SAR 649.31 million.
The materials, telecommunication services, banks, and utilities sectors decreased 0.15%, 0.08%, 0.06%, and 0.02%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector rose 4.7%, followed by the pharmaceuticals sector with 1.2%, and the retailing sector with 1%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led losers with 1.8%, whereas Malath Cooperative Insurance and Reinsurance Co’s stock was the best performer, surging 9.3%.
Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market index tumbled 0.15% or 5.54 points reaching 3,613.56 points.
Baazeem Trading’s stock fell 1.4% to SAR 25.65, whereas Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock grew 3.2% to SAR 64.
