Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declined in Wednesday’s early trading by 0.24% or 33 points to the level of 13,684.5 points.

The EGX50 index also retreated 0.41%, while the EGX70 and EGX100 indices rose 0.26% and 0.22,%, respectively.

By 10:50am Cairo time, trading volume reached 49.6 million shares exchanged at EGP 144 million through 3,600 transactions.

Foreign and Arab traders were net sellers by EGP 7 million and EGP 396,000, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers by EGP 7.4 million.

Oriental Weavers rose 6%, Eastern Company advanced 0.92%, and Elsewedy Electric levelled up 0.41%.

Meanwhile, the Commercial International Bank – Egypt declined 0.4% to EGP 86.2.
